An opening cocktail party offered one and all the opportunity to network on a grand scale, ahead of the much-anticipated main event. Then the sparkling centrepiece of the evening: the breathtaking live awards gala, expertly hosted by comedian, author and broadcaster Dominic Holland. A roll call of hugely deserving winners picked up trophies for categories such as Broker of the Year, The Rising Star (Broker or Distributor), and of course the exclusive and hugely coveted Lifetime Achievement Award. “I’m amazed, I’m really shocked to be honest,” exclaimed an over-the-moon Dale Jannels, from One Mortgage System, who picked up the award for Innovator Champion of the Year. “It’s a very competitive market that we’re in, especially in innovation and tech – it’s really moving massive strides in the industry at the moment, so yes, really chuffed.” Just as excited was Gindy Mathoon, from Create Finance, the winner of Broker of the Year (Individual). “I am absolutely delighted,” he enthused. “It’s a nice achievement.” As the wine flowed and guests enjoyed a sumptuous dinner, the atmosphere in the room was one of sheer excitement, as the awards were presented with the flourish one would expect on such a special, prestigious occasion. Scott Burman, from Pure Retirement collected the award for Later Life Lender of the Year. “The key to success is every single day we take pride in how we service our brokers,” Burman considered, “and take a genuine interest in the customer journey, to support them to realise their retirement dreams.” It was a fantastic night too for Heather Cara, from BM Solutions, who collected the award for Rising Star (Lenders and Service Providers). “I’m proud of what I’ve achieved in this role,” Cara shared. “I think the key to my success has been forging connections around the industry to try to make a difference.” The winner of the GI/Protection Provider went to Uinsure, with a thrilled Cameron Parsons stepping up to accept the honour. “Honestly it feels incredible, I think the team has been working really hard this year,” he told Mortgage Introducer as he came off stage. “It feels good!” There was similar elation for Howard Levy, from SPF Private Clients, which scooped The Together Award for Bridging Broker of the Year. “To win this award, I am so delighted to actually get this for the bridging team, which has gone from strength to strength over the years,” he beamed. “So thank you so much to Together and everyone who voted for ourselves.” James Briggs, from sponsor Together, added: “Sponsoring this award, for Together, was really important. It’s testimony to their hard work, dedication and constant conquest to find the right solution for clients.” Recognising the best of the best is at the heart of our inspiring, annual spectacle, as well as shining a bright light on the sector as a whole. And as the crowds of delighted awards attendees took to the dance floor to while away the final few hours of a truly memorable event, the Mortgage Introducer Awards yet again confirmed its place as the premier event in the industry’s calendar.
Research Our dedicated in-house research team validated each submission form, conducted research and drew on knowledge and information gained through Mortgage Introducer magazine to support and supplement submissions and ensure that no one deserving of recognition was missed. Excellence Awardees (finalists) were determined from both pools of information.
